Kevin Cox was born and raised in Adana, Turkey; he is a Turkish-American artist who is completing his B.A. in Studio Art and Environmental Studies at Knox College, set to graduate in spring of 2024. His work captures the shifting reality of landscapes as they are transformed by humans and nature. In his most recent exhibit, Corrupt Optimism, Cox reflects on the architectural, cultural, and political changes in the landscape of Turkey after his hometown was struck by a devastating earthquake on February 6, 2023. His work has been shown in Xjournal and Catch Magazine. Kevin is the Co-General Manager of his college radio station, WVKC, and is a design editor at Catch Magazine. He intends on continuing his work both in Turkey and in the United States after his graduation.
