Originally from Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Maija Wehr is a senior at Morehead State University earning her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in ceramics and sculpture. She explores the depths and possibilities of various materials and processes. Gathering her fascination with the ocean, she creates pieces that are heavily organic and resemble the chaos of the water and all that it holds. Creating animal figures, she forms different emotions through dramatic movements and expressions. Her work has appeared in Inscape and has recently exhibited her solo exhibition, Dauntingly Boundless, at Morehead State University Public Radio Station, Spring 2025.
