Besides being Managing Editor of the Albion Review, he also serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Student Senate, and Treasurer of the LGBrITs. In his free time he enjoys reading, writing, studying flags, and playing grand strategy games.

Associate Editor

Alye Perryman is a sophomore at Albion College. When she is not studying you can find her listening to music, writing (day dreaming more accurately), getting lost in stories, and going on adventures. She enjoys several different genres of writing including poetry, fantasy, science fiction, and magical realism. She loves beautiful language, deep characterization, and writing that is multilayered.

Fiction Editor

Alex Morrow is an undergraduate student currently studying English at Albion College with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Studio Arts. They have been writing short stories and personal novels since elementary school and take great pride in their work while still acknowledging that they have a lot left to learn. Their pieces mainly focus on the development of strong queer characters and breaking gender norms, and work to build the kind of representation that they wish they had growing up.

Creative Nonfiction Editor

Carli Jones is the current Creative Nonfiction editor of The Albion Review. She is a sophomore majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She first joined her freshman year, and the Review was something she had looked forward to when she first committed to Albion. In her spare time, she enjoys writing her own stories, and has done so since she was five years old. She typically writes in the fiction genre, but she has been experimenting with creative nonfiction recently. She also likes to hang out with her friends: listening to records, going on walks and drives, anything that doesn’t require a lot of effort or money and is readily available to everyone. She also plays bass guitar and is a big fangirl of a broad array of media.

Additional Staff

Emily Constan has long been a lover of the fantasy genre, particularly anything with dragons. She would also recommend trying out a graphic novel if you’ve never explored that format. She engages in a number of crafty hobbies, such as ceramics, crochet, sewing, and all areas of onstage and backstage theatre.

I’m Kali Gutierrez and I’m currently a freshman. After classes you can find me playing Uno with friends or going for walks around campus. My favorite kinds of writing are autobiographies and memoirs.

Sarah Kozal is a senior at Albion College, double majoring in Creative Writing and General Communications. She’s particularly passionate about creative media and is currently seeking opportunities that allow her to combine storytelling, writing, design, and media with her love of helping and connecting with people. Sarah is also a member of the college’s track and field team where she serves as a team representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In her free time, you can find her taking photos, making jewelry, critiquing movies, and snuggling with her 15-year-old pup, Lily.
